HTML 5 is a responsive design tool that allows designers to create a single app for multiple platforms. This means there is an incredible cost-saving aspect to using this tool in comparison to making different applications for all different platforms. It's a disruptive technology for their competitors. Years ago HTML was seen as a more dated way of making websites or applications. Today however thanks to HTML 5 it has started it's rise again. This means that especially their competitors suffer from this new technology. Meaning sources such as silverlight and flash are becoming less popular.
